How to Win and Keep Market Research Clients: Friday 14th November, Central London

Accredited for 6 hours of CPD. Cost: ICG Members £135, Non-members £225

How often do you contact a potential new client, only to be told that they have no need for any more agencies?  Many clients have a formal or informal roster of Market Research suppliers, which can make it hard for a new agency to get a hearing; but by thinking about what a particular client really wants, including their personal agenda as well as their business needs, and differentiating yourself with genuine and relevant selling points, it can be done.

Of course, the chance to pitch is only the start.  What will encourage a client to send you the first request for proposal; how do clients judge between proposals; and how can you impress them during and after the project?

This course will help you become more effective at winning business and retaining existing clients by understanding the client’s point-of-view.  Learn how to identify relevant selling points, prepare pitches and proposals tailored to the client’s needs, and manage the client relationship through the project and beyond, in order to become a valued partner for the long-term.

"Head and Heart": an Expert Guide to Presenting with Impact Accredited for 6 hours of CPD

You are an experienced presenter.  Your research has produced a mass of useful findings.  How can you make sure that your audience really listens to what you have to say and – most importantly – is moved to act upon it?  Facts and figures can engage on an intellectual level, but your hearers may remain unconvinced – or worse, become bored - unless you engage their emotions as well.  What you say is important, but how you say it can make the difference between a decent presentation and a great one.

In this master-class you will learn how to engage with an audience on an emotional as well as an intellectual level by using story-telling, language and imagery to give clear and compelling messages, and the full range of your voice, body language, gestures and energy to make sure that your audience both listens and acts.

This day will benefit anyone who needs to make pitches and presentations to clients whether face-to-face or remotely, and who wants to move beyond basic presentation skills.

What previous attendees say:

"We are actively using what we have learned in our day to day working environment, unlike take-aways from other courses that can be nice to know but the information not utilised."

Please contact me to discuss your needs.

As run at the BIG/MRS CPS Conference May 2014

Great for learning and great for team-building, war-games are an engaging and effective way to help managers and staff take a fresh look at their business and come up with creative solutions.

For a Market Research agency that might mean getting inside the heads of both clients and competitors to work out what clients think they want, what they really need, and how to convince them that you can do a better job than anyone else.

For  a Business team it could be working through the likely reactions of customers and competitors to a new product launch or market entry; or understanding how your competitors' strategies might impact on your business and what you can do about it.

Each war-game is individually designed for your specific needs, using a realistic and fully-researched scenario.

Use a full-day war-game to tackle a business issue in depth, or incorporate a shorter session in a conference or team-building day.

Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
